An Appropriations Bill
The House recently approved an appropriations bill for a 3.1 percent pay increase for federal workers which includes IRS employees.
Additionally, the bill increases funding to taxpayer services by $67 million and aims to modernize business systems with $140 million.
This is the first light the IRS has seen in a while considering they have lost about 23,000 employees in the last decade.
But the bill still has to pass in the Senate.
